Transforming Japan's
Energy Sector

CTD is committed to tackling the challenges of the geothermal energy sector and transforming the way Japan generates power. Our work forms an integral part of the Japan-US collaboration on geothermal energy development and aims to significantly reduce fossil fuel reliance and cut carbon emissions.

Our mission is to revolutionize Japan’s renewable energy sector by harnessing the abundant low to medium-heat geothermal resources available in the region in order to significantly reduce Japan’s reliance on fossil fuels and cut carbon emissions, setting a new benchmark for sustainable practices on a global scale.

CTD is at the forefront of driving sustainable change in the energy sector. We strive to develop cutting-edge solutions and shape the future of the renewable energy sector.

A Catalyst for Japan - US Cooperation

The Green Snow project serves as a catalyst for American and Japanese companies to jointly spearhead development efforts, aligning with the climate goals set by the Japanese government. This groundbreaking initiative underscores the significance of international collaboration in driving clean energy solutions and overcoming challenges within the global energy market.

This innovative project aligns with the US-Japan Climate Partnership and the Joint Statement on Clean Energy Cooperation between the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan and the United States Department of Energy. As a result, it supports the Biden Administration’s goals for international cooperation in clean energy and serves as a pilot initiative for tax-free climate transition development. It further highlights the importance of the Japan-US collaboration on geothermal energy development, exemplified by a memorandum signed by Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Yasutoshi Nishimura.
